Well, Mr. Finegold’s enthusiasm for our new node at Merrick House is much appreciated and forces us, I guess, to update the rest of the TwiFi node list.

Merrick House is only one of three existing nodes that are tied to our mesh network in Lincoln Park. The other other nodes are at St. Augustine’s Church and (soon) Pilgrim Church. This is phase one of the roll out. The second phase is external nodes on the roof of Civilization and St. Augustine’s, and one in the gazebo.

Of course, like any grassroots effort, funding is an issue. All donations are tax deductible and go directly for equipment or collateral printing. The exception is for conferences, but we will have special fundraisers for that. NOTHING is for personnel compensation. We are a purely volunteer organization working for the love of it.
In light of that, we have a new program. Sponsor-A-Node is a new program for Tremont businesses to help TWifi extend our mesh network. By sponsoring a node, your business will be named in the node SSID broadcast. Contact TWifi for details.

Also, Prosperity Social Club has signed up to be the next hotspot. Perhaps, in the future another mesh node.
